planning a sub $200 build

Evolution.

it needs to be able to run stuff at the lowest settings at least with 30 fps I know this is possible with a good amount of AMD APUs.  components can be used and must have 8gb of ram budget is around $200 i know its possible but don't know where to start.

as much as I'd like to get AM4 socket APU I simply can't because of these damn ddr4 prices.

You don't want a last-gen APU, they're really not worth the money. Save up a bit more and get a good CPU and dGPU.

The only reason I got an APU was for the iGPU, but the CPU itself really struggles.

go for those old HP 8200 series MT desktops

they are around 150 dollars on ebay and you just need to install the OS with the WIn 7 key stickers on top

then you buy a used GPU and you got a sub 200 dollar PC

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
