CPU to accompany my GTX 1070

Editie

I'm thinking on upgrading my PC, My current CPU is a AMD FX 8320. I Recently bought a GTX 1070 few months back.

I feel its a good time to upgrade. I'd like to switch to intel but I have no real upgrade path. There is a budget (CPU, Mobo and RAM) of about £500 - £600 but it hasn't got to cost that amount.

If anyone could drop a pcpartpicker list would be great! I Wouldn't need a CPU Cooler as my current one supports both amd and intel.

Here is my current idea.

Also looking at the 6700K/7600k/7700k.

PC Build.

AMD FX 8320 @3.9Ghz|16GB Patriot Viper Red 1600Mhz (DDR3)|Palit GTX 770|GigaByte GA-970A-DS3P

|Antec 1100|NZXT Havik 140|Corsair TX650v2|3 x 24 inch|Razer Deathadder Chroma |CM Quickfire TK (Blue)

This is good. If you can fit Coffee Lake into this then that'd be nice, but other than that you probably won't need Zen

Here's Coffee Lake if you don't mind chipping out

Unless you're trying to hit 4GHz with Zen you don't need an aftermarket cooler.

you could get something like the Master Liquid lite or the Pure Rock air cooler.

Also looking at a budget build with a 7600k to save some money, this is a upgrade from FX 8320? Any one got any other ideas?

get coffeelake cpu or ryzen instead, kabylake just isn't worth it.

Is better to stick to amd as am4 socket will last till 2020 ,compare to intel which changes it socket for newer cpus every 2 years,  get ryzen 5 1600 , is cheaper  and also have better multi core prefrormances. If u have a 144 hz monitor then the 7600k will have been a better choice,  but upgrading from fx 8320 proof that u your fps is around 60 to 70  with recent demanding games and is likely u have a 60 hz monitor,  so the ryzen will be a much better choice especially for future proofing. The 7600k is technically a better gaming cpu now  than the r5  1600 but the cost of kaby lake platform makes it expensive especially the cost of z270 boards whiles b350 motherboard can easily handle r5 1600 and ryzen motherboard will last longer till 2020 if u feel to upgrade to ryzen 2 when it comes out

I would prefer a r5 1600 for this build because of such a low budget and you need future upgrade ability as the next zen 2 will be based on the same am4 platform
