Windows 10 usb problem

I got a new pc, so I downloaded the windows 10 tool for it. I ran it on my 16gb usb drive and it didin't work. Please help me.

did you make the usb a bootable one? :)

I think I discovered the problem. When I wanted to open it rn it said it needs to be formated to be opened, so I formated.

Btw, what do u mean bootable? I've done this a couple of times, but it just worked i didnt need to make it bootable.

If you can access your BIOS/UEFI, you can then change the boot choice from there. You should change it to external device.
