So i heard about this thing couple days ago that some people claimed that with high pixel density like 24inch 4k monitor you wont need anti aliasing because of the very little gap between pixels making the images appears smoother even without anti aliasing.

I never own 4k monitor in fact i am stuck with my monitor for over 2 years already so if you guys own 4k 24-27 inch monitor tell me your opinion on that.

Because AA can really put a load into your gpu so if more Ppi can solved the problem it would be great.

Thanks in advance :)

No, you will still need some kind of AA. Obejcts will look smoother without AA and high DPI but something like shadows may still look very blocky without it.

Never care much about shadows though except if they looks extremely good.

So its true then although i am still going to use FXAA cause it wont impact the performance compared to other type of AA

Im playing on a 23,8 inch 1440p and even then AA does´t make a big difference in most titles but still there is a difference between it turned off or on but the impact is less mind blowing compared to a same size screen full hd 4x AA.  I mean is 1440 p(3.686.400) is already a lot more pixel than 1080p (2.073.600) 4k(uhd 3840*2160=8.294.400)  or (4096*2160=8.847.360) is about 4 times the pixel count of 1080p. For a playable frame rate if you wanna play 1440p or 4K you need a very strong GPU. For 4K i would say nothing lower than a GTX 1080 for 1440p i used a GTX 980 long time for that and it was maxed out(1473 MHZ) to sustain 1440p at 60fps with ultra details at modern titles so for 1440p i would also say atleast a 1070.

I dont use AA even in my native 1050p, i have simply gotten used to jaggies when i dont generally notice them. Rather have smooth performance with everything else truned up that actually impact visual fidelity.

Use FXAA if available it wont impact on performance that bad.

FXAA is teeerible, makes image blurry, i've heard good things about MFAA tho that Nvidia has in control panel, but still i dont feel the need for AA

Actually all AA will makes the images or blur the edges but some will yield a better result while some wont.

Other type of AA besides FXAA will hurt performance.
