Only one drive is showing in boot priority in BIOS?

Ayala

I have a really confusing problem. When I first started my pc, both my hdd and ssd were plugged in, but it only showed my hdd. I unplugged my hdd, and it showed my ssd. I plugged my hdd back in, and it showed just my ssd. All the cables and drives work, I just don’t see them both under boot priority. Do I need to? Can I just disconnect my hdd and install windows and then connect it after? Also, really dumb question: how to I choose which files go on my ssd or hdd? If I save something to my desktop, will it save to my ssd since i’m installing windows on it?

See if you can find a list of all the drives plugged in in the bios, there may be an option to add them to the boot priority list.

You should always install windows with only one drive plugged in btw.
