Not in the long run. You'll need to use the battery every now and then if you want to have it survive for more than 2-3 years.

it won't do any harm leaving it plugged in, but you do have to discharge the battery once every 2-3 weeks. that will make the battery last longer. but if you do that anyway with your normal use, then you don't have to worry.

well you don't need to do that, unless you plan on using your device for more than 4 years. a "gaming laptop" today is very obsolete by then because of their non-upgradeble gpu's. 

 

OP's laptop has a 1050, which will probably not be able to play new AAA titles in 4-5 years.
