I think i know why we don't have non-reference 290/290x yet! Here is my theory:

 

AMD will release Mantle late December, and then we will see the true performance of 290/290x. After everyone is hyped on mantle, they will release aftermarket 290/290x and the sales will explode!

Tactics: On a much smaller scale. A salesman trying to sell a product to a specific customer uses sales tactics.

 

Strategies: On a much larger scale then tactics. A company trying to sell as many of a product they can employ a strategy to sell the most :)

Anyway: My theories for this is that they won´t ever come with aftermarket coolers and then just release a new and better version (with a even more fucked up naming scheme) before Nvidia fucks them over once again with a better card :)

the year has 12 months. battlefield 4 came out this year.

 

12 / 4 = 3

hmm not sure mabey they have a second edition or some 1.1 ghz edition that they would let oems put after market coolers on 

(1) high frame rate (2) ultra graphics settings (3) cheap...>> choose only two<<...

 

if it's never been done then i'm probably tryna do it. (((((((Bass so low it HERTZ)))))))
