Im not looking to buy, but I was just wondering because a gtx 1060 is around 280 dollars for 6gb and a 1070 is like 200 dollars more than that. After doing more testing, there's actually a big difference between the two, 1060 is an all around more medium-end card, where a 1070 is extremely powerful and when paired with an i5 or r5 is 1080p overkill. Is there any card in between like in the 380 dollar range?

The GTX 1070's MSRP is $380, but nobody sells it for that much unless it's their "crap tier" version.

good times were when the 70 series cards were the $350 option....

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

buying a 1070 new for under 380 is like winning a jackpot. even trying to find one used is a bad idea they are double triple the price. closest i found was a FE from BestBuy for 399.99 not including tax.

Which is nice because usually founder's editions are the more rare editions of the card, but I can't find a sub 400 GeForce gtx 1070, yet the ti version of the card  (which just has more cores) is only $50 more ($450 on the Nvidia website)
