7th gen is the worst buy of the year right now. For this budget, Ryzen 5 1600 seems to be the best deal. Just use the stock cooler and a B350 mobo.

SSD? PSU?

Two strategies on the graphics card:

Get the best you can get now and stay, which is either the 1060 6gb or RX 580 4/8GB (small price and performance difference), depends on which one is cheaper.

Get a good-enough card and upgrade later, in this case a used 1060 3gb (with warranty and in good shape) or a new one.

Assuming you'll use rebates, you can get something like this. RAM prices are getting more and more messed up every day, so I can't justify 16GB. If you absolutely need WiFi, just add one that supports ac

Good idea with the Ryzen 5 1600 and the stock cooler, I didnt know what cooler would be enough. Also what is PSU?

Stock cooler would be fine although if u want aftermarket cooler something like Cryorig H7 or Be quiet pure rock would be more than enough to cool it.

As for the GPU Far cry 3 and Crysis 2 are piece of cake for 1060 to run.

As for the PSU since your budget is $1000 i am sure u can afford top tier PSU like EVGA G2 or Corsair Rmx if you cant Corsair CXM Grey unit is fine.

A 120mm AIO is not much better than the $25 air coolers

Kaby Lake is dead don't buy it, Ryzen 5 1600 is a pretty good value

Would suggest an RX 570/580 instead if they're back at normal pricing, that way you save money later with free-sync

Should get a case with a mesh front for better airflow like a Masterbox 5.

And buy the $30 or so Gigabyte wireless AC adapter so you can move the antenna to get a better signal.
