I know i've seen  r5 1600 builds for 600-800dollars the last couple of months.

That's a decent deal with the right GPU. There's a dude on FB round my way here in PA building 1050ti systems with Ryzen 1200 for $600. Hasn't sold one in months. Wonder why...
