Monitor Stuttering / Flickering

julesswifte
My monitor keeps flickering on and off just randomly for about 2-3 minutes, I've checked if there is dust inside the monitor but it seems fine, I've upgraded all my drivers including my video card (GTX 960) and it keeps happening.

I've done so many things reading multiple help guides but it still happens.
I've been planning to clean inside of my PC it is pretty dusty, but could this be why it is happening?

Please list solutions as well as responding to my question, thanks!

Try another port on your Graphics Card.

If that doesn't help or you have no other ports that output in the right type of cable, use another cable.

I've had my monitor show red lines turn on and off, completely shutdown when my HDMI cable went to the electronics lord. (It broke.)

It could also be the power cable, so if you have a spare one try replacing that. (Or replugging the current one, wiggling it around slightly)

When the PC is acting up haunted,

who ya gonna call?
"Monotone voice" : A local computer store.

*Terrible joke I know*

swap out the cables (preferably, also use a different interface on both sides), and if that doesnt change the situation my guess is a broken display.

I've tried the display on 2 other computers, seems fine.

How do I try another port on my graphics card? Not sure what you mean.

If you could show a video or explain that would help a lot, thanks.
