How to connect PC to WIFI ?

pcnoobgril

Hello,

I have an internet connection (100Mb/s) and I need to connect my computer to it. The problem is, that I can't connect it with cabel, because of walls. (There is not any way how to connect it with a cable.) Do you know how to do it, with the best internet speed possible? I heard about some wifi repeaters.. But.. Connect PC to internet is best with a cable, is it right? I just don't know, what to do.

Here is a picture of my flat. Thank you for an answer and sorry for my english.

wired is better, especially if the router is far away or through walls as in your case. to connect your pc to wifi you need your mobo to be capable of wifi or add a pcie wifi card to the pc. Another option for wired is a powerline adapter

Hi,

Assuming your computer does not have wifi built in, You have 2 options;

1. Purchase a usb/pcie wifi card to use with the pc

2. Purchase an ethernet powerline adaptor so you can connect your computer via ethernet to the router via the power sockets in your walls.

Laptop: Gigabyte AERO 15X - i7 8750h, gtx 1070, 16gb ddr4, 2TB Samsung NVME

I agree. Most pc's don't have built-in wifi. Make sure you don't get a cheap card too or it will limit the speed of your connection. It's a bit tricky with wifi, but here's a decent card I found a while ago and it was cheap too. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704129
