Ditching my Note 4. What phone would you recommend?

Hiho,

 

It's about time to say goodbye to my broken Note 4 that turns off at random times.

 

I'm looking at Black Friday deals and S8 costs a mere £447.

 

Are there any other phones that could offer similar experience for less or same amount?

 

I'm interested in longer battery life, fast charging (the quicker the better), and no useless junk.

I forgot to add that Samsung phones were disappointing me. Note 1 after 2 years started to turn itself off when opening camera / it wouldn't charge to 100%. Also, Note 4, just broke. No scratches, never dropped it. It just broke 6 to 10 months ago. It turns itself off at random times and never charges to 100%. Samsung literally wanted £250 to fix it, even though it's the price of a new one. Not sure if I can trust Samsung again. I'll check V30.

V30 is £150 more expensive than S8 and I'm not sure if I like that.

If you want long battery life you can't beat the Zenfone 3 Zoom. I'd also take a look at the Moto Z Play and Play 2. 

 

If you're looking for other things as well, you have to tell us. You haven't given us much info to go on.

I'm looking for something like Oneplus 5T or Oneplus 5. Not sure if it's worth it over the S8.

The Huawei will have better battery life. The Samsung potentially has better, faster storage.

I settled and bought S8+. £488 so not much more than S8 and it has 3500Mah battery, even though the screen is slightly larger, the phone should last longer.

Yeah it definitely gets better battery life as long as you don't use the Always On display :P
