PC keeps crashing to almost any new game.

Arcanekitten

Hey,

I've got a friend with a odd PC which keeps crashing to his new games mostly Footbalmanager 2018 and Pro Cyling manager 2017.

I can't seem to work out what the issue exactly is but i do have a dump file which has interesting info in it.

PC contains a HD 6950 and a Xeon with is about the level of a Q6600 (LGA771 to LGA775 Mod)

Dump files reads:

https://pastebin.com/btRtzGjU

Any suggestions? A lot of stackoverflow which usually means something bad.

Should also mention he has updated his windows to the newest windows update and also updated his drivers.

You would think Ubisoft would support the Bulldozer based architectures more given their digging themed names like bulldozer, Piledriver, Steamroller and Excavator.

Does the PC turn off or does it BSOD?

Run a GPU stress test. Then run a CPU stress test. Then run a max system power consumption test. That'll show if it's a CPU, GPU, or PSU problem.
