my vram disappred ??????

i play csgo weekly so  today i went in steam pressed the play thing then it showed a msg that i do not have sufficient vram to play 

i played like forever on this laptop it never had error like this

i have 512 mb vram

plz help

my laptop is old sony vaio with i3 proccesor with windows 10 and 3072 mb ram

so far I cant see any reported cases of this happing but I'm still looking

i think i should just format and reinstall my os

judging from what I could tell online its just that the software doesn't recognize the vram, does this happen with any other games?

you could but you could try and solve the issue without having to go through the trouble of formatting and reinstalling an os

formatting and reinstalling did not work
