What cpu is smilar to the i5 8600k?

I wanted to buy the i5 8600k but it is out of stock and I need a processor before the 2nd of December. What cpu will perform similarly? I considered going for the i7 8700k but I don't think the price difference is justified for gaming performance, which is the use I will give to the cpu paired with a 1080 ti.

Thanks in advanced.

I would just wait for the 8600K or get an 8700K.

there are only 3 coffeelake overclockable CPU. 8350k 8600k and 8700k. if you are okay with 4core CPU then go for i3 otherwise i7 is the only choice. gaming performance wise coffeelake is better than ryzen so really no similar CPU.

I would too but I cant wait longer cause I dont live in the States so it is now or in months, and I find the 8700k too expensive seeing the fps are almost the same.

They're the same because engines aren't using more than four cores. Wait two or so years and we should start seeing the first wave of engines using five or more cores.
