Hi LTT,

I am kinda concerned. Recently, I received a relatively old gaming PC from a relative with a C2Q Q6600. It was on an Abit IN9-32MAX WiFi motherboard, which allowed me to OC the CPU. My relative said it was stable up to 3 GHz. I OCed it up to 3 GHz by changing the FSB to 1333 MHz. It was stable for a few moments, but sometimes there are random restarts and BSODs. On the BSODs, it says, "BAD_POOL_HEADER." But I am shocked it never reaches over 130 degrees F, even under load. Does this mean I have to dial back the OC a bit or is the chip not a good candidate for OCing?

The bad pool header usually comes from a usb device with a faulty drives(at least in my case)

I don't think so. I recently bought a Sandisk Cruzer USB drive, and I don't think it can be causing any issues ATM.

So, are there any problems with my OC or something worse?

Have you ran stability tests with your OC on it? I wouldn't trust someone elses results even done with same hardware.

I already ran Prime95 and it actually seemed stable. But the BSODs and restarts are completely random, not in my control.

Ok, perhaps try to repair install on windows then. It could be just driver error thats causing that.
