Installing Windows 10 Pro Fresh PC Help!

Andy85

So I have a brand new Pc without any Operating System. I wanted to install Windows 10 pro and planning to buy the key from ebay  or kinguin

https://www.ebay.com/p/Microsoft-Windows-10-Pro-Professional-32-64bit/809536399

how do I get windows 10 pro version to be install on my PC (where do i download them) ? Once that is done I can insert the key that I buy.

Also I wanted to know how reliable is these keys from ebay and kinguin?

Should I just buy Windows 10 pro USB flash to be on the safe side?

I had a key from eBay with an installer I have had no issues with it. I would just make your own installer if it makes it cheaper, but found that it might be easier to just buy a key with an installer as it was a hassle with I made my own bootable USB for a friend.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I do not recommend buying keys from unauthorized third party resellers as you have no guarantee that they will work / aren't stolen / already used. Buying with PayPal does, help, but there's a grey line between what constitutes a fulfilled / delivered product key vs. whether the key actually works or not, so be careful of this too. There's absolutely a good chance that keys from third party resellers will work, at least during initial activation, as they want to make sure they get your money of course, but since they're not an authorized reseller you have no recourse should the key stop working down the road.

Personally, I would recommend buying the Windows 10 Retail with USB or at least DVD so you know you're getting a legit copy of Windows, and you get a hard copy of the installation medium as well.

I don't comment on keys. But you can get installer from MS official site, "burn" it to any 8+ gig USB and install with that. You have 30 days to try it out for free, no limits. After that it gets limited with no background, watermark and popup (probably other things too).

What you said is exactly what i was worry about, that the key might stop working in the future should microsoft decide to blacklist it. I'm not sure if it will damage my pc when that happens or not but that is what I'm afraid off. If I buy something like this from ebay

its is a retailer version $110 is it much safer than the keys ?

If I go to say officerwork and buy windows 10 pro it cost me around $250 aud. Buying it from ebay save me a ton but Im not sure if its a legit version.

would appreciate your insights

Ugh. Buying parts in the land down under sucks even more than Canada's shitty PC market, so I feel for you. It'd be cheaper to have a Canadian friend buy you a copy off Amazon, and either ship it to you via courier with tracking, or just give you the keycode. Personally, I'd still not buy a copy off eBay as that's still not from a reputable authorized source, but that's just me. For the record, Windows cannot damage your PC itself - if the key indeed is stolen or fraudulent at any time, just your Windows installation will be affected, so you can reinstall / buy a legit key at that time without an issue.

So yeah, if you have a Canadian friend, I'd highly take them up on getting Windows 10 Pro for you, and figure out shipping costs from them to you after the fact, or just get the keycode from them instead and make your own USB / DVD via Microsoft's official media creation tool.

Sub-$80 keys are always grey market keys. Legit, from known stores, keys start from $80 for Home OEM and $150 for retail (USD, corresponds pretty good to EUR too). Its mainly about your decision, either paying full price, or paying less to get key stripped off some volume pack (sold to bigger business and institutions). Same with Pro versions, think if you really need Pro features and pay accordingly.
