If you want to stream and play AAA titles at the same time you'll want an i7.

And definitely a better power supply, just to be safe.

Wattage isn't an issue, it's that the psu he has is pretty crap quality, and isn't worth the risk of using when he puts a better gpu and/or cpu in there.

A new cpu for the steaming part. (get a i7 or something close to the performance for that)

"May your frame rates be high and your temperatures low"

I misread titles/posts way too often--correct me if I don't.

This is one of the reasons he needs a new one.

Jonnyguru? For goodness sake, look at some other review sites as well.

The CX430M is one of the old green labled variants. They are crap quality compared to other PSUs on the market today.

I'm keeping everything else the way it was for anyone who might check out my answers in future, but I won't be using LTT.

"i want to stream and play heavy AAA games"

He will have to upgrade, or atleast heavily overclock his GPU for that. The 2nd option not being that possible with a 1050ti.

Come on. It's a 430W PSU from 2011. The minimum these days really is 550W. To play AAAs on a 1050Ti, he will either OC, or buy a new gpu. In either case, he needs a new PSU. Remember, the PSU is the only part of your PC that can kill every other part.

I know my seasonic x which is on the what tier?

Took out my mobo

Cpu upgrade to i7 would be best to steam otherwise streaming isn't going to really happen

Unless he raises budget

Debatable. Ryzen 1700 or even 1600 could handle moderate streaming thanks to extra cores. Much lower power draw too.
