Posted November 15, 2017 The question isn't very specific. Which one costs more? Which one is made by Microsoft? Which one has more games? Which one is more powerful? I'm gonna go with which controller I prefer, which would be the XBox one because I find the play station ones to be a bit too small. My main computer: i7 6700k || GTX 1070 || Asus Z170 RGB || C.M. It's about not posting there kinds of topics in the first place. I think that Xbox One X is one hell of a console tho. Really impressive. If they optimise for it, it'll be better than most midrange gaming PCs. On a gtx 1070 level.. insane.
 Posted November 15, 2017 My thoughts. Playstation 2 > Xbox Xbox 360 > Playstation 3 Playstation 4 > Xbox One Also Playstation has a longer legacy having launched one generation prior to Xbox. A lot of nostalgia is attached to that first PS that I can't ignore. I'm a fan of RPGs, particularly JRPGs, which are better represented here since the Xbox consoles have done poorly in Japan. So Playstation for me. For current gen, I picked PS4 again for the JRPGs. Other than that, I actually prefer first party Xbox games over Sony's, but their releases are too sparse. The thing I love about Xbox One is the increasing legacy software it carries over, which PS4 largely ignores outside of select PS2 games and their streaming library, both of which requires purchasing/renting things you may already own. I play a lot of previous gen and retro games, so that sort of thing I appreciate a lot. MS has built up a lot of good will with me and I'd love to get an Xbox One X... after price cut and some console exclusive software. Sadly probably won't get pure exclusives since MS is in a tough position of trying to make both Xbox and Windows Store appealing but don't have enough games in the oven to do unique exclusives on both. They're trending in the right direction but not yet able to topple the crown from PS4 in my mind.
 Anyway, where is the option for both? I had consoles on both sides. I currently have a Xbox One S (using it as a UHD player/media box) and a PS4 Pro. 17 hours ago, ono said: My thoughts. They're trending in the right direction but not yet able to topple the crown from PS4 in my mind. I will agree with that. Sony is making sure to bring JRPGs on the PS4 outside of Japan. Though, Horizon Zero Dawn is just one awesome game. On the other hand, I just found out Okami HD is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Yeah, I probably going to get it on the PS4 and PC (even though I have the PS2 and PS3 copy - I still consider it my most favorite game). On previous consoles, this how I consider them (note, I had all of these and still own a few of them): PS2 (still own one) > Xbox (had one) : Reason PS2 over Xbox, the darn game library selection and because it has Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, Kingdom Hearts series, Final Fantasy 10, Final Fantasy 12, and could play PS1 games (which I had FF7, FF8, and FF9). Though, my Gamecube has more hours than both of those combined (not kidding, PSO ep1&2 and Super Smash Bros Melee claimed a lot of hours from me). Xbox 360(had one) = PS3(still own one) : I play about equal on both because both had some fun games and nice exclusives. PS4(have a Pro model) [not sure yet] Xbox One (have a S model) : Not sure yet, just got a Xbox One S so still not enough hands on with it to compare to the PS4. On the other hand, hands down I like my Switch over both of them (sorry, but I love the portability of this thing). I know, people going to ask why I still play on console since I have monster GPUs. I like the fact the darn consoles just work, and I can trade, rent, borrow, and resell games after I finish them. 2023 BOINC Pentathlon Event F@H & BOINC Installation on Linux Guide My CPU Army: 5800X, E5-2670V3, 1950X, 5960X J Batch, 10750H *lappy My GPU Army:3080Ti, 960 FTW @ 1551MHz, RTX 2070 Max-Q *lappy My Console Brigade: Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, Switch, PS2 Fatty, Xbox One S, Xbox One X My Tablet Squad: iPad Air 5th Gen, Samsung Tab S, Nexus 7 (1st gen) 3D Printer Unit: Prusa MK3S, Prusa Mini, EPAX E10 VR Headset: Quest 2 Hardware lost to Kevdog's Law of Folding OG Titan, 5960X, ThermalTake BlackWidow 850 Watt PSU
