Mostly it's because Linux is stable (relatively), free (usually), and secure (because no one bothers attacking 1% of computers, not to mention that most Linux users are smarter computer wise than the average person). If you are just doing browsing, Linux is my go to, but while game support is getting better, it isn't there yet.

Im not sure if this is still 100% true but its why Steam/ Valve was pusing for vulkan support hard for Steam OS based on linux at one point. 

 

 

yeah the Free part is good but ill just install a windows without a key and just use the black backround lol the Viruses is a problem for the computer illiterate though idk whats worse teaching someone a new OS or just wiping it every 6 months lol.

 

Not much research to do its Because the 980TI was a top of the line nothing better card just like the 1080TI is like right now. But the 1080 and 1070 came out and the 1070 beats the 980ti so its going to only sell right around the 1070 price range. otherwise no one will pay more for a worse Card to a certaint degree at least. its  Exactly like why you think windows computers loose price as budget options are similar to it a year later.
