Backlight bleed

I plan on getting a 1440p g sync monitor with at least a 145 hertz refresh rate for gaming only, the one I'm specifically looking at the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG279Q, however there are complaints about backlight bleed from this model, but I'd it the model that is the issue or is it just a common occurrence with IPS panels? Is there a way for me to get a monitor that will fit my gaming purposes with little to no backlight bleed? Thanks.

Backlight bleed and IPS glow are a common occurence on all IPS panels. It is very much a panel lottery - there's better and worse units. If all you're going for is gaming and can't stand backlight bleed, I would just save money and go for a TN panel, as backlight bleed of any sort is very rare on TN's.

Another alternative go for VA, it had good color output, deeper black and no IPS glow issue, if you gaming in dark room, VA is the best panel choices.

 

I myself won't go for TN as TN is very suck even the highest end one. TN only great on low respond time but bad for everything to me.
