While they should be fine. With the H110 you run the risk of it not having an updated BIOS. It's a small risk but it's still there. If you can squeeze a B250 board into your budget I would go that route.

cpu: intel i5-7500

motherboard: ASUS H110M-C, s1151

gpu: Gigabyte GTX 1060 G1 Gaming(6gb)

ram:DDR3 2x 4gb 1600MHZ corsair Vengence

power supply: 550W corsair (80+)

*thanks in advance*

You might need a BIOS update on the board to support that Kaby CPU for that to work, but the CPU itself is physically compatible with the board. As for your choice of ram, you are going to need DDR4 with that specific board: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/H110M-C/specifications/

2 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR4 2400/2133 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
Supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)
* Refer to www.asus.com for the Memory QVL (Qualified Vendors Lists).
* Due to Intel® chipset limitation, DDR4 2400MHz memory frequency is only supported by 7th Generation Intel® processors. Higher memory modules will run at the maximum transfer rate of DDR4 2400MHz.
** Due to Intel® chipset limitation, DDR4 2133MHz and higher memory modules on 6th Generation Intel® processors will run at the maximum transfer rate of DDR4 2133MHz.

So swap that ram out with DDR4, and if you are shopping in store, ask the retailer when that specific board arrived in shop so that you can have a better chance to have a board with the proper microcode to support KBL. You are going to need BIOS version 3016 to support the 7500, which came out January 5th, 2017.

You have to get DDR4 RAM with 1151 motherboards

Not all 1151 motherboards, but most of them do. Quite a few support DDR3: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/motherboard/#s=30&L=3

RAM isnt compatible, Motherboard might not recognise the CPU if it dosent have an updated BIOS, thats about it. you could probably do better performance for your money with 8th gen Intel though if you are buying new, especially if you wait for the H and B 300 series motherboards but those are a few months off

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Totally overlooked the RAM myself, good catch :)

True but still DDR3 RAM can damage Skylake+ CPUs because of its high voltage over DDR4 RAM.

Yeah, I thought it was DDR3 myself, but realized it lacked the -D3 at the end (ASUS actually has an H110M-C D3 revision of this board: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/H110M-C-D3/ )

I should go ahead and give the usual speech before anyone else makes the claim: DDR3 will not kill Skylake's IMC as long as you keep the VCCIO/VCCSA volts in check. VDIMM does not kill IMC's. It's supplied from the board, to the ram. VCCIO and VCCSA however, do pass through the IMC, and can be lethal to the IMC if set too high (something highly clocked DDR3 XMP kits tend to do on Skylake for some reason)

is my ram good if i have the B250?

If the board does not have "D3" or "DDR3" in the title, it will not support DDR3. Here is the list of 1151 DDR3 boards: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/motherboard/#s=30&L=3

Now, I don't believe any Kaby lake DDR3 boards exist yet, so all of them are technically Skylake boards with updated microcodes being required to utilize that newer i5. As an avid memory overclocking enthusiast, I do recommend Z series boards, even for locked CPU's, due to the benefits memory overclocking yields for minimum framerates.

It really can't. See the above half of my post. We have DDR4 kits pushing 1.5v as we speak, and we have people benching at 2v+ on the VDIMM and not a single IMC has died of it. VDIMM does NOT kill IMC's, it's physically impossible.
