Ooh okay! Well to be honest I was hoping it’d be somewhere between 500-700.

Why not go for Fractal Design Focus G?

Looks good so far, but for a light-medium gaming PC, a Ryzen 3 1300X would also be a good and cheaper choice.

As for storage, if you can manage I´d get a SSD (120GB or 250 GB) or swap the 2TB with a 1TB drive and get a SSD.

As mentioned above, I'd also get a better PSU. I use a Corsair CX550M for my build and it hasn't let me down yet for a year now since I bought it.

Above suggestions depend on your budget, considering everyone has their own definition of "budget PC". I consider budget to be around the 500-600 € mark.

Nintendo Switch (2x), Nintendo *New* 3DS, PSP-1000, PSP-2000 (Crisis Core Limited Edition)

Didn’t know you could get an os from reddit! Haha good to know! I like that build, is there any difference between a full atx and micro other than size?

you'll lose up to 3 pci-e slots but you shouldn't need more than 2 anyways. https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/ the website for windows.

what is your full budget? also do you care if its intel or AMD?

In terms of the parts you listed, CPU is fantastic, but if your going for higher gaming performance on 1080P you can get a bit higher FPS out of intel, however if your multitasking needs are just as necessary as your gaming needs, definately dont change from the 1600 as it offers great performance in both areas.

for the motherboard, personally i wouldnt recommend the lower end gigabyte boards. if anything id say find a cheap asus or asrock board (Asrock fatality k4 is good) for around the same price that has decent VRM cooling and power phase.

For around 45$ (depending on sales) you can technically get some better PSU's both in performance and higher wattage. Its not that its a terrible PSU, but there is other alternatives out there that could be a bit better for same price or 5-10$ cheaper at times. You wont need anything more than a 550W though, as your system even OC'd probably wont even reach 450W.

a 1060 3gb is a great card, but if you could squeeze it into your budget, the 6gb version will last MUCH longer. not only is it a bit faster (has more cores active as well as a faster RAM bandwidth), but the 6gb VRAM will last a heck of a lot longer as more and more games are sapping more and more of it and will most likely continue to do so. though the jump up could be another 100$ =/ If not, the 3gb version will still be a great GPU.

Depending on what games your playing, and what kind of heavy workloads your trying to peform, 16gb might be a much better way to go. for example, GTA V can pull more than 8gb of RAM, and ive seen a decent number of threads recently showing people having problems with system throttling due to only 8gb of RAM. So if you could, get 16gb, but with Ryzen, you also want as high speed RAM as you possibly can. 3000MHz is a good goal as you'll see some large performance differences the higher you go. If your budget doesnt allow 16gb, at the very least, get 8gb of 3000MHz RAM, it really makes all the difference in a Ryzen build. And DO NOT pick a random set of RAM. Look in the motherboards QVL and find one that has been fully tested and rated to work at the advertised speeds. If you dont, you will potentially have it clocked down to 2133 native speed, not be able to clock it higher, or a slight chance of it not even being stable at all for your build.

To sum it all up, its really a decent PC you got. Other than a few suggestions, it will do perfectly fine if you choose not to change anything. Just make sure to check your RAM choice with the QVL and aim for 3000MHz over anything else. hope this helps ^_^

It wouldn’t throttle from multitasking then?

Well for multitasking it is like doing it on i3 but at i5 specs

That would depend on the work you do. and it wouldnt necesarilly "throttle" per say as you can ramp up all 4 cores to around the 3.7-4.0GHz mark (depends on silicon lottery), but would definately be not as good or slower performing those tasks as having more cores and the higher threadcount.

It shouldn't, but that depends on what you plan on doing with it.

I use 4 cores/4 threads as well. However, I use a i5-6600k.

I have boxed R3 1300X that is just waiting for the motherboard to arrive. If you like, I can test it and give you the results.

I'm a heavy multitasker that usually has 15-20 chrome tabs open at all times (I don't like bookmarks, I just open links to view them later) and usually have 2 games open at all times (a MMO in the background while processing or other afk work and a game I play actively while my MMO char does its work).

I so far haven't noticed any performance throttling while doing this, so 4c/4t should suffice.

I’m not too particularly picky over the two, but I do value the multitasking as much as my gaming needs. I don’t necessarily play heavy games, mainly just for long periods of time like grinding out League of Legends or OW.

I’ll probably look into more mobo’s like the one you suggested and try to fit 6gb into the gpu! Thanks for all the suggestions!!

Asus X370-Pro is pretty solid motherboard

an x370-pro would cost too much for a $700 build, a cheaper asrock AB350M should do the job fine.

Over any other change, do the RAM first. even if its only 8gb of RAM, look for a QVL selection of 3000Mhz to really get the best out of your PC. You can always put in more RAM later on if you decide you need it. In order i go like this for any changes:

1. RAM Speed.

2. Motherboard that will handle any OC you throw at it.

3. 1060 6GB version

4. More RAM

Again though, 2-4 is really optional as the parts you have now should do just fine.

bad idea. get it from the official MS store. keys that cheap are almost always against Microsoft terms of service.

Look for Asus Prime B350 Plus, pretty good budget option and definitely better than the Crappybyte you chose.

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM
