Hi,

 

So I can get a GTX 1080 Sea Hawk card for £580 or a MSI GTX 1080ti Gaming X card for £690 which is the better deal for high refresh 1440p gaming?

1080ti is nearly mandatory for high refresh 1440p gaming. Only games like csgo and overwatch can use a weaker graphics card.

Massdrop is about to do the EVGA FTW3 1080 Ti drop edition so, price will be lower and you get Destiny 2 free

Any 1080 Ti will always outperform any 1080... this is a no-brainer.

Does it out perform by much though like if it's 20fps in most games then I can deffinetly justify the extra but if it's only by a small amount then I might as well go with the cheaper 1080

Yes it does outperform by much, the 1080 Ti is on average 35% faster than a 1080, since you're with a really high end display of 2560x1440p144hz which is bloody demanding you should really consider the 1080 Ti so you can enjoy the high refresh rate without having to turn down the graphical in-game settings too much.

 

You're better off with the cheapest 1080 Ti than with the most expensive 1080 truth be told.

Just looked at some graphs and the 1080ti looks to be able to hit low 90fps at 3440x1440 thats the resolution I want to get eventually at the moment though i'm using a Acer XB270HU 1440p 144hz IPS monitor :)

I got the EVGA 1080ti SC Black Edition with Destiny 2 free for £610 I would say that is a very good deal :)
