I'm just looking for a smartphone with the best battery and screen for the money.
 
I currently use a ZTE Axon Elite, so if it ain't any of an upgrade I'll just get one, sell it, sell my zte and get a used s7 or something lol

If the camera and the battery life's an upgrade then I don't mind.

I've listed my axons elite on sale and someone offered to exchange it for a redmi 4x. Should I go for it?

You can try the redmI Note 4x. Its actually quite decent. The Snapdragon 625 seems to be able to handle most tasks. But one thing I'm concerned about is the heating. I've seen a few redmi phones that get hot even on standby. There is also the ZenFone 4 Max Pro which I think is also free. BTW, are you Singaporean?

The Snapdragon 625 is one of those chips that gets barely lukewarm. It is a 14nm chip and uses solely Cortex A53 cpus.

Agreed. While the SD435 (in the Q6) has 8 Cortex A53 cores much like the SD625, it is built on the older 28nm process vs 14nm, and runs at a much lower clock speed (1.5 GHz vs 2.0 GHz).

 

Much of the benefits of 14nm in the case of the SD625 is directed toward efficiency, meaning the Note 4 or A1 will run very cool, and last a godly long time on the battery. It isn't much faster however. Performance-wise, everything is within a pretty similar realm.

This is as far as i'm willing to spend, but I honestly find no reason to since I'm likely just getting a DSLR for photos, I don't play games, I listen to music and browse the web and take notes on the fly and that's about it.
 
Any phone here worth the $?
