Ballin on a Budget Gaming Rig

newcbomb

Here's My Gaming Rig that i basically just finished (first GTX 780 died). Im a huge cheapskate and always want the best deal. I got the CPU, Mobo, and RAM from a friend. I traded him for a Gigabyte GA-H110MA ($54) and 8GB Crucial DDR4 ($32). The SSD was used on eBay. The HDD was from an old system i scraped. The GPU was used from eBay.

So 1 month in, im super happy. I can play every game i have (Mostly Overwatch, CSGO, BF4, and PUBG) at Highest everything and around 60-70fps.

CPU: Intel - Core i5-3570 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($0.00)
Motherboard: Asus - B75M-A Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard  ($0.00)
Memory: Crucial - Ballistix Sport 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($0.00)
Storage: Transcend - Transcend MLC 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($30.00)
Storage: Western Digital - Blue 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($0.00)
Video Card: Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 780 3GB WINDFORCE Video Card  ($130.00)
Case: NZXT - S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($69.99 @ B&H)
Power Supply: Thermaltake - Smart 600W ATX 80+ Power Supply  ($39.99 @ Amazon)

RGB: Deepcool 2x12in RGB Strips ($14.99 @ Amazon)

Other: LGA 1151 Motherboard and Ram that i traded ($76.00)

Total (I payed) : $345.98

Any improvement suggestions would be great!

Pick up an MX300 525gb on black Friday and it'll be perfect, maybe a new CPU cooler (like the M9i)

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

the I5 3570 is a K yes?

Then a Z77 board or Z87 board would help to get a little more performance out of that little devil =)

Main System:

Anghammarad : Asrock Taichi x570, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X @4900 MHz. 32 GB DDR4 3600, some NVME SSDs, Gainward Phoenix RTX 3070TI

System 2 "Igluna" AsRock Fatal1ty Z77 Pro, Core I5 3570k @4300, 16 GB Ram DDR3 2133, some SSD, and a 2 TB HDD each, Gainward Phantom 760GTX.

System 3 "Inskah" AsRock Fatal1ty Z77 Pro, Core I5 3570k @4300, 16 GB Ram DDR3 2133, some SSD, and a 2 TB HDD each, Gainward Phantom 760GTX.

(Abit Fatal1ty FP9 IN SLI, C2Duo E8400, 6 GB Ram DDR2 800, far too less diskspace, Gainward Phantom 560 GTX broken need fixing)
