Recommendations 4k ips sub $500

Heizu

Hi all,

With the release of the xbox one x coming up ill now have 3 devices that are 4k capable while still using 1080p monitors...

So I'm finally looking to upgrade my 2  Acer h236hlbid monitors.

Here's the features I'm looking for:

- 4k resolution

- IPS display

- Screen size greater than 25" but less than 35"

- Vesa Mounting

- Hdmi 2.0

- sub $500 price

Features that aren't necessary but would be nice:

- Glossy screen

- multiple hdmi 2.0s

- thin bezels

- full sRGB range

Feel free to list monitors that may not fit my list exactly (especially the price aspect) but please no TN monitors as I just can't stand those viewing angles.

Thanks for the help!

I'm not sure monitors bother with that, you may just want a TV with low input lag

TCL makes some alright 4k TVs, especially for the money

Nevermind, this is pretty much your only option though, 27" 4k IPS free-sync, pretty solid overall, the cheapers ones are likely not very worth it, it has HDMI 2.0

This one has 2 HDMI, dunno if they're both 2.0, also not sure on panel quality.

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I have the LG 27UD68P and it would mostly suit your needs.

27" 4K IPS panel with 99% sRGB and VESA mounting options. Two HDMI inputs (not sure if both are 2.0, I could check later today) and one Displayport. Bezels are quite thin (don't believe the promotional images, it has a thin silver bezels and than like a 3mm thick inner black bezel).. it has Freesync if you care?

Its screen is not glossy, but not full matte either. It's somewhere in-between to give some good colors and still block out some light.

Ok is there any that you are aware of that would fit the specs besides the hdmi2.0? I was just thinking it would be nice but as long as it has a displayport that supports 4k60hz then I'll be good.

You don't want to cheap out on your 4k monitor, there are like $299 TN panels, or a cheaper LG IPS panel, but that one is really dim and not as nice from what I hear.

You're going to have this thing for how many years? Should be investing in it basically.
