Vega 56 clock speed issue

I recently bought a Vega 56 reference style from xfx.

While I gamed on it , it theemd that its performance was worse than my old r9 290.

I opened up Wattmann and watched to the clock speeds during gaming and it hang a somewhere around 1150mhz .

I costum overclocked it (increase the power limit, the voltage , the temp target , and the fan speed to Max)

But still, during gaming like GTA V oder Furmark my clockspeeds were around 1150 mhz.

So I flushed the 64 bios on it, did a new driver installation and again a costum overclock, but nothing changed still low clockspeeds.

After that I started up premiere pro and while open cl Rendering my clockspeeds gone up(1645mhz), still not during gaming. While rendering the powerdraw didn't got higher then 130watts .

I've a 850w pay from seasonic so I don't think that's the issue .

I would like to receive some solutions for my problem.

try a different driver, uninstal it with ddu

I tried every driver since 17.0, no change.

First change to the high performance bios and also lower the voltage, the card is power throttled.

You probably don't need to increase the voltage at all, I'd leave it stock with the increased power limit.

Out of the box, Vega 56 power throttles. Reset to default in wattman, then just increase power target and maybe fan speed, leaving core clock and voltage alone. Also OC memory, but leave memory voltage alone, too. If you want to OC the core to squeeze out a tiny bit more performance, watch gamersnexus video where they undervolt+overclocked their Vega 56

Yes but did you DDU in safe mode before installing any thing new? this is a very important step.
