Hey guys,

These are my pc specs:

CPU                                      AMD-A6-6400K

GPU                                      Radeon Rx580 sapphire pulse

M.B                                        MSI A68 HM Grenade

Harddrive                               ST1000M003-1ER162

RAM                                       2x 4G Crucial

Power Supply                        Cooler Master, Masterwatt 500W

I know I have a pretty big bottleneck going on here, however I still think I should be able to run games at higher fps than I am now.

For example, I run fortnite on the lowest settings possible in 720p: 15-25 fps, just unplayable.

I checked for virusses and I had 1 type of malware which got removed, but no significant improvement, This really bothers me because I feel like I should be able to get Fortnite to run at least 60 fps at these low settings.

Thanks for your help in advance,

Damai

That CPU is a huge bottleneck.  Especially for an AMD Radeon GPU.

that 20% is disk usage not gpu usage

I know. But that CPU is probably limiting the fps.

the CPU has to process all the frames rendered by the graphics card.

I know it's a big obttleneck but it should not be this bad, right?

to be honest,

your 8GB RAM doesn't help. 16GB would be optimal.

And your CPU's single threaded (and multi-threaded) performance is truly dreadful.

Yeah, my Core 2 Duo is less of a bottleneck than that...

8GB of RAM would not cause this.

@Damai Do you have your monitor plugged into your motherboard or your GPU? It's possible you're running on your CPU integrated Graphics. If that's not the problem it's possible its a hard drive problem, and if that's not it then you'll have to replace the CPU and motherboard and possibly RAM depending on what platform you pick.  You could probably replace your current platform with a pentium g3258 and board for dirt cheap if you find it used. that way you could keep your RAM and it won't break the bank.

Your fps are normal... the major bottleneck is the cpu which is ... quite frankly not good enought... do not pair extreme low end cpu with medium/high end gpu ... it wont cut it
