Probably a decent sized upgrade, Not sure how less of a bottleneck you would get from playing on 1440p though.

I mean if you have a 1080 ti and can afford the upgrade you might as well.

no bottle neck even at 165 fps?

You can't give an exact % it varies for every single game and program. But the 8700K would be a great upgrade and it is the fastest gaming CPU there is at this time.

It puts less of a load on the cpu because you're playing on 1440p so you utilize more of your graphics card.

If you want to hit 1440p 165hz though, Definitely upgrade.

Exact % isn't really what I was hoping for anyway. but a guesstimate from someone who feels confident with the cpu and ram comparison would be greatly appriciated
