Help me choose a card ,

I had a dcII 7970 i wanted to upgrade just for the hell of it

 

i have  3750k haswell kit i5

16 gig ram kingston hyper x

2x ssd 

all that good stuff

750 watt antec green something psu

my case is a zalman z9 

windows 7

 

I game on a 24 inch 1080 p monitor 

BF4 , GW2 , and all those games i want to run top top! 

 

 

 

 

290,280x , 780 , 

 

 

I heard only negative out of the 290

like if it was just a test card they shipped and the hell with the rest

the only good thing about the r9 seems to be the 280x cause it's based out of a solid platform 7970.....

 

 

now....

should i wait and let my pc sleep for the next month?.

OR....

buy a ps4 lol

780 ti is way too overprice for what it is

780 doesnt make sense price/performance ratio go r9 290 or step up all the way to a 780ti
r9 280x doesnt make sense cause its essentially a 7970 thats overclocked (better power design i think)

truthfully i wouldnt really upgrade cause its not really worth it
maybe another 7970 for xfire would be the best choice

R9 290 is the best price to performance card out there. The only real drawbacks are the stock cooling isn't spectacular and AMD goofed on the drivers, but that should be fixed.

Simple its a I5 3570k, horse power of ivy bridge and power efficientcy of Haswell

if i get a 290x... now

 

the revised cooler will be sold seperatly and easy to install or im doomed with what i buy and might even end up re-selling for re-buying the non reference?
