Will this work with my monitor?

I have Asus VC279H and its adapter is not working. I saw this adapter: https://www.amazon.in/ADP-40KD-BB-AK-040AP-024-AP-04001-002-AP-0400H-001-IU40-11190-011S/dp/B072KH6K86/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1508988133&sr=8-1&keywords=ADP-40KD

 

which is actually a laptop charger but the specs on this adapter is exactly same and the model no. of my Asus adapter is ADP-40KD-BB which is mentioned on this charger. can it power my monitor?

Do you still have a warranty on the monitor? Otherwise if it has the same specs/output it should just work....

Yes, I have warranty. Do I have to send the whole monitor or just the adapter?

Should only have to send the adapter I'd imagine. Probably wanna try that first.
