RX580 or 1070

So I don’t have the money for a top end card, and I was looking at either a 1070 or a 580, both are at/around the top of my budget. Can’t make up my mind as to which I should get. It’ll be paired with a Ryzen 5 1600, or a 1600x.

1070 is in a higher tier. The 580 is overpriced because of mining. The AMD equivalent to the 1070 is Vega 56. The Nvidia equivalent to the 580 is the 1060 6GB

For the same price? Well, a 1070 is quite a bit better, so go with that :P. Maybe a  580 or vega 56 if you have a freesync monitor.

If you want to go used you could also grab a 980 ti, only 6 gb of vram and higher power usage but overclocked it usually beats a 

1070 and is quite a bit cheaper.

1070 without a doubt. The 580 is a 1060 competitor, and Vega 56 is the 1070 alternative (though it arguably isn't as good).
