I have a few questions about undervolting my laptop's processor and integrated GPU.

First, which is the better software, Intel XTU or Throttlestop?

Second, is the cache voltage threshold the same as the core voltage (meaning, the should I undervolt the cache with the same values as the core?)

Lastly, what program should I use to test the iGPU undervolt? Every GPU stress test program out there seems to test my dedicated GPU only.

The cache uses a different voltage than the core, you have to tune it separately and it is a bit more tricky to test for stability.

When running AIDA 64's stress test, I just leave cache checked on to test it, right?

No, from my experience it is not enough. I passed Aida64 for hours with unstable cache and crashed after a couple of minutes when playing BF1 (that game is really sensitive to RAM and Cache OC...).

I suggest, try with OCCT using Large Data Set instead of Aida64 in this case. That seems to catch instability way faster.

Cool thanks. Also, which would you recommend, XTU or ThrottleStop?

Personally I recommend Throttlestop for simpler functionality

I set the same undervolt voltage for cache and core. If you don't have the time to figure out the best undervolt voltage for cache and core, just set the same undervolt for both

iGPU undervolt can be tested by disabling the dGPU if not mistaken (force to use iGPU in Nvidia Control Panel)

Throttlestop ALL the way. There is literally ZERO reason to use XTU over TS. TS have better functionality, easier interface and is FAR more reliable than XTU. XTU sometimes loses your settings on reboot.

Use ThrottleStop. I use it personally and it’s been great.
