MSI Lightning 780 problem driving me mad, any suggestions?

lionetm

Hi,

I have 2 MSI GTX 780 Lightning cards in SLI for about 4-5 years now. I had no problem with them till now, but I reinstalled my PC with new Windows 10 updates and the software I had used to control the fans before (MSI VGA Fan Control) doesn't work anymore. This is a huge issue because both cards have 3 fans, and while Afterburner works for the 2 main fans, it wouldn't control the 3rd fan.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions? MSI doesn't seem to care about their users enough to release a VGA Fan Control or Afterburner release that would work for their premium line of cards, which is hugely disappointing and really is a bad business practice IMO...

Cheers!

SpeedFan might work if it can detect the three fans separately.

How do I make it detect my GPU fans though?

When SpeedFan boots up it runs through everything connected on your system, so it should automatically detect the fans.

Can you screenshot the entire list of detected devices?

Aww, that's unfortunate. I would have thought the fans would be detected.

Yeah, me too, and it's pretty interesting how they're not.

Anyhow, would you have any other recommendations?
