New PC Build

Benjji

Budget: AUD $1,300 - $1,500

Monitors - Currently have 2, both 1080p

I want to play Rainbow 6, Rocket League, GTA, very well.

I would also like to have a lot of space for my expanding steam library.

Would like an SSD for Rust, Rainbow 6 etc.

Overall, I want to have a fast, high fps PC. I would also like to play High on all those games. Also, NVDIA graphics card preferred due to shadow play. Wouldn't mind having a nice looking case too!

Thanks, Benjji.

The H370/B360 boards are not out yet and won't be for a while. Z370 gives headroom to upgrade to an OC CPU later on.

GPU is perfectly fine for what he wants to do? 1080P gaming and driving 2 monitors...

This is also taking into consideration his budget and choosing quality parts as well as a "good looking case"

@Benjji

I'm probably gonna wait for christmas before I buy anything. But I might start buying parts now. Do you think I should wait or just buy parts now?

Look at Reddit build a PC Sales honestly and try to get parts for your system there i looked for 2 weeks for a white case with rubber grommets for cable routing and ended up getting a decent one for 42 dollars

Up to you, things might be on special, but what you could always do is get things like Case, PSU, RAM, Windows (Kinguin.com)

And wait for a good deal on MOBO/CPU later on, near cybermonday specials and Christmas

Okay dude, thanks for the help!!! <3

A GTX 1080 is serious overkill.

2x4GB sticks of RAM will limit any future upgrades, which is why 8GB DIMM's are better choices

240 SSD could hold more games

Hyper 212 is overrated, and unecessary for your build since there's a stock cooler

And you forgot a case in your parts list.

1

Yeah I don't recommend a case because that's his taste 2x4 is strictly better because it uses dual channel

If He gets a 1080 yeah its overkill but it's in the right place look at where 780 places now it keep him from having to upgrade for essentially two more updates than the 1060

Did you see the link to the AMD build I suggested? It's under the list for the first build. Might be interesting for you if you want to play with overclocking and such.

Yeah I did see that too, not really sure if I want to play with overclocking and stuff just cause i'm not confident on doing it and stuff.

For rust u might need a 16Gb ram. However if u do not have any background apps like anti virus software running 8Gb should just suffice for rust.

Here's an AMD alternative, slightly cheaper too. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/Alexsolo/saved/hyBqkL

Hey so it's been a couple months and still have yet to purchase a PC. I will be doing so very soon though. Have any new parts come out that I should know of? (I should be getting one after the start of March).

If not, can someone else create a PC within the budget.
Thanks, Benjji.

zen+ and H310 boards should be out by then, ask us around 1-2 weeks before you buy the parts.
