Just how dead is the RCA (Yellow Red White) cable standard?

Xanthe_2871

i guess the easier way would be to fix the power situation so the wii doesn't always shut down.

Actually, come to think of it, I did ask about this as well as HDMI to component and component to composite. Best Buy doesn't carry anything RCA, at all.

To be honest this is not a project that is doable using retail stores.  In my opinion I wouldn't even consider retail locations, because even IF you find what you need (and that's an ENORMOUS if), its going to be 3-4 times the price you should be paying for it.  Legacy adapters and stuff like this is something you should be buying online and have at your door in 2 days.

Yeah, but I like to get things done. I don't like to wait. I don't mind paying a bit more, but 3-4 times more is crazy. And I think Fry's ended up being even more than that, at $44.50 compared to $9.80 on Amazon.

Yes, it's 2871 as in the year 2871. I traveled all this way, back in time, just to help you. And you thought your mama lied when she said you were special-_-

No matter what you will have to basically get a digital to analog converter to plug any modern device into those old screens, and as such, it's going to need to be "active", which means some bulk and cost for all that circuitry, and you may notice quality differences between different ones.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
