Someone said 1Gbps is already achievable on 4G... Little did he know Qualcomm is trying to make it even more stable... *eyeroll*

Qualcomm is claiming to have achieved 1Gbs on a cellular data connection. They say it could be capable of 5Gbs in it's final form.

That's better than my broadband connection....

Most tests are in labs. Labs dont equal real world. I high doubt you will see any of the big claims in the real world unless the fucking tower is in your back yard. Keep in mind cellular providers will find a way to fuck it up. About every provider has some cap on their network where they start "Throttling" your traffic. Any where from 25Gigs to 50 Gigs. My family uses 700Gigs so those limits would not fly.

I do think this will be good for rural customers however. They should be able to get better connections, as many dont have access to cable internet and are stuck on slow DSL which will not be upgraded.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
