Ultrawide is kind of a different beast though. Granted, we're talking about Overwatch and what I'm assuming is Far Cry 4 or Far Cry Primal, given that FC5 is still a year-ish away IIRC.

 

I don't know. If it were me, I'd go for the 8GB 580 because we're coming to a point where you can load enough textures at 1080p 21:9 to chew through 4GB of VRAM, particuarly if 8GB 580 prices continue to ease downward.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Oops I meant Farcry 4. And I do want to play on higher texture quality will the extra vram help with that?
