should be? but it has a 95 watt tdp vs 65 i think

probably due to the higher clocked, I edited tho re-read ur post

Yeah u will be fine man just keep it stock ryzen cooler are fine and 1060 is sweet spot for 1080p, 1070 is no compromise for 1080p, 1080 is overkill for 1080p

My 1600 on stock voltage runs at 3.9GHz (I use a Corsair H60 but the Wraith cooler can manage the same voltage). The temps are pretty good, highest I've seen is 65C on a heavy load. Not sure how much of an improvement a 1600X would actually be, plus it has a higher TDP to consider (although I'm not sure if that affects the temperatures or the limits)

Frostbite (White build PC)

MSI B350M Mortar Arctic - Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 GHz - Corsair H60 - ASUS GTX 1060 3GB DUAL OC @ (2130 MHz Core Clock + 4600 MHz Mem Clock)

they're essentially identical except for clocks so no. but the 1600x had a sale earlier where it was cheaper than the 1600 so keep an eye out

I have the 1060 SSC (EVGA) and a Ryzen 1600 running the stock cooler completely stable with a slight overclock @ 3.7 and it was simple to do.

It's a great combination and does everything I need it to do. It's hard to beat for the money. It seems to me that the 65W TDP coupled with the 95W cooler out of the box gives you a bit more headroom than the X pair which are both at 95W already.
