Im building a new gaming pc on a budget. Do you guys think its worth getting a coffee lake CPU and MOBO, or sticking with 7th gen at a cheaper price, and dedicating the budget elsewhere?

Depends on a lot of things. Overall I would suggest getting coffeelake for gaming, but does that mean you'll be using a 1050 2gb and 4gb of ram? Then obviously not.

psu is much, much worse. don't skimp on the PSU just for an unnecessary cooler.

No. DO NOT SKIMP ON THE PSU, it can kill components.

Thats a horrible unit, group regulated and very low end. And it's a 500 unit.

 

BTW don't buy by brand, all manufacturers make bad units.

the B1s are low-quality units made for things like office PCs, not high-end gaming computers.
