I am going to buy a desktop computer on eBay, although it does not have WIFI capabilities which I need. Should I get a USB WIFI adapter for $1.69 (on eBay) or should I look for a different computer that has WIFI capabilities although cost around 10-20 US dollars more?

Hope this information post was helpful  ?,

You should build one with wifi for probably cheaper.

In order to help you answer my question I have included a link to this desktop computer that I am looking to buy (not having wifi):

http://www.ebay.com/itm/302218460896?var=601059992159

here is a link to the wifi adapter that I am looking to buy in addition to this computer that does not have WIFI capabilities:http://www.ebay.com/itm/311919993387

*Side note that this computer has a configuration of 8GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive, Windows 10 Home, and a 19" LCD display/monitor.

I have already looked into that option and building it myself would cost more than getting this pre-built. In more high-end systems this applies although (this is a low-end computer).

This PC is junk, you could build a better system for the same price if not cheaper. Its almost always cheaper to build yourself , regardless of the caliber of the build.

I'm sure you can get a Dell Optiplex or HP Compaq with a core i3 2100/2120 for that much.

Yeah you can find better prebuilt PC's for $138. I think any Core2 will beat that CPU.

After taking some more time to research for a better computer,  I have found the following one which I will list a link to this post. Also, my original question refers to the WIFI capabilities of a desktop computer, and I have posted the computers that I am looking into so that you can see which one I am planning to get and which would be the best option for me in this case. Eventually/probably I will end up choosing a lot better desktop, although I am sure that it will not have WIFI capabilities.

Wifi is pretty inconsequential. Most decent ~$20 USB wifi adapters will work fine for that computer. I wouldn't worry about it until you went for a more decent machine. And even then, you could always get powerline adapters instead of using WiFi.

Desktop: i9 11900k, 32GB DDR4, 4060 Ti 8GB 🙂

Yeah, I've used cheapo wifi adapters on my desktop computers before with no issues.  As mentioned above, it's pretty inconsequential.

It's a better system, but I personally wouldn't buy from a vendor on ebay that entices people with their own 'tech support'.  Anybody can be a certified refurbisher.  A warranty/replacement policy is one thing, but at that point it seems like you're paying for the service.  The system itself is probably worth less than half of the asking price.
