Netflix Windows 10 APP

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

I believe that would have to do with the way the UWP APIs were written when Netflex made their Win10 app.

ok so im using the netflix app in windows 10, yes rage at me but i like it. The issue im having is when in full screen and i "alt tab" to do other things on my second display netflix minimises

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHY NETFLIX WHY!!!!!!>:( I dont know if there is a regedit to sort this of even a setting ive missed

Any help appreciated

Just don't touch UWP and you'll be fine. :P

Want to know which mobo to get?

There is the possibility that there is a newer API for full screen that doesn't have this issue, and if so, that just means Netflix hasn't updated the app. Last time I used the app around a year ago, I'm pretty sure it was just the Win8 version running on Win10 (As the apps would work across platforms) and that could be the reason as it would be Win8 APIs. Is the full screen button in the title bar, if so then that is an indicator of a Win8 based app.

I'd imagine copyright protection would also be a factor.

ill level with you this is an area i know nothing about so sorry if this is a really silly question but if its a setting surely there is a config file that this is read from. is there anyway of editing this or do i just have to suck it up until they sort there lives out?

Doubt they made a config file to allow users to select what fullscreen API the app used, in fact I don't believe that that would be allowed on a UWP app but I could be wrong. All you can do is complain to Netflix over and over or find out which API is called and see if there are any dirty hacks to modify it. (Not exactly sure if that would be legal though...)

They updated the app for Windows 10 but it's not received as much attention and care as it should.
