GPU is getting blocked!

Slaxc

I’m trying to install my GPU right now and my mobo is blocking me from doing so. The card won’t fit.

looks like it's designed to use that top slot for that pci port, and the second for the top pcie port... perhaps a straight on picture from the side of the case, or a picture with the card held over the pcie port to show how it lines up with the case...

Get the ends of the PCIe bracket over that motherboard ledge thing, and it'll fit.

It won’t go without a ton of force. I’m worried.

also had issues like this, one time we could barrely fit the card and get to the video ports and i ended up grating away the plastic from a HDMI cable in order to fit it into the connector

Are you sure those small bits at the bottom of the bracket are either poking through to the outside of the case or are tucked behind the motherboard at that part? Just aim it well, and get it lined up with the slot.

It's exceptionally difficult to tell from those pics, but I've never seen a case OR a motherboard that wouldn't allow a video card to fit, even double width.

Pull out a little bit, and give up a shot of the motherboard sans video card, let's see if that might help

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Got it to work :) I have a question tho.

I’m trying to plug in my GPU but not too sure what to do.  With my PSU the only thing that came was a VGA with a 6 pin and then a 2 pin you can add on. But my card has a 8 pin and then a 6. Not too sure what to doimage.thumb.jpg.506df7d4e38c24027fd1dbd8d7858225.jpg

-snip-

You plug the 6+2 pin into the 8-pin part and then another 6+2 cable into the 6-pin socket (only using the 6 pins and leaving the 2 pin hanging)

Alright so there was another 6+2 cable that came in with the PSU. I thought it was an extra but I guess I use it

Yes, and you need to plug those two pins you have dangling into the GPU for the 8-pin part :)
