Router recommendation please

poole

Hey

I was wondering does anyone have some good router that has 5Ghz with beamforming so it can penetrate 4.5 concrete walls in an apartment in Barcelona where every neighbor around the apartment saturated the 2.4Ghz band with the stock service provider router. I can't use google in my room some time and gaming League is like impossible with ping spike. Is there any router recommendation? The cheaper the router, the better.

Edit, in my room, I have 3 walls between the current router. The 0.5 wall is the glass door to the balcony. DRILLING IN THE WALL IS NOT OK by the way because the landlord lives in the apartment as well. I am only renting the room.

If you can not run Ethernet the best alternative is Ethernet over power, you can get a device that plugs into a PowerPoint next to the router and one in your room, you can then plug an Ethernet cable into each of them. This only works if the power points are on the same cuircit but they should be. This is much better than Wi-Fi but not as good as actual Ethernet.

Yeah but I don't know if it will work because in the old house I lived in Spain, the power line adaptor did not work and I would like to study in the balcony. I have checked and the landlord uses every plug in his room so there is no way I can add a powerline adaptor. The router is in his room.

Get him, or you to buy a switch then, they are like 15-20 euros for a 5 or 8 port... then buy the powerline.

Sorry for the confusion. When I said he uses all the plugs I mean the wall plugs and not the ports for the ethernet on the router. If I remember correctly powerline is for only directly connected to the wall plugs or it will not work properly

Concreate and WiFI are not friend. 2.4 Ghz might be able to do the job, but no way in fuck will 5Ghz. I know this for a fact. I only got about 80% signal going thru two wood study dray walled and plaster walls. Your not going to do 4.5 Walls on 5 Ghz. No way in hell. Only options are Ethernet, Powerline and Moca.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
