I have that old wyzecam 2 from a while back that I use.  I am on that free wyzecam cam lite plan where it would show short video of 12 seconds every 5 minutes if there is motion and I'm fine with that.  I have several of these cameras but one of them no longer work.

Anyone have recommendation on a similar security camera?  This is going to be put inside the apartment and having it point at the door.  I guess you can say like a similar nanny camera?  I don't need anything expensive.

I notice there are new wyzecam and many seem to be wired?  I would be using it on wifi and connected to an outlet.  However, does the wired wyzecam allow you to use it as either wireless or wired?

I'm using a Wyze Cam v3.  It's a ''wired'' cam in that it plugs into an outlet for power but it connects to WiFi for control and viewing. There's no ethernet hard wiring. I believe the newer v4 is also the same in that it only uses a wire for power but connects to WiFi.  If you can get the v4, then that is the way to go.  It's QHD instead of 1080p like the v3 and still dirt cheap. Plus it uses a micro sd card for local recording so you don't need to pay for any subscriptions. And you can still get phone notifications without a paid subscription. You won't get playback of the motion alert itself.  That comes with a paid subscription but you do get free live playback of the camera in real time and a history of the alert events. If i need to go back and look at a motion alert, I just go to the live playback and scroll back to the time of the event.
