I liked my K7 before it bricked itself. k5 is essentially the same? I have heard MSI's ryzen VRM's are less than ideal, but it hasnt seemed to limit anyone I've seen use an MSI mobo.. Asus has some decent entry x370 options?

It comes in within 1-2 weeks, I need to get it today. How are they garbage?

Get the Gigabyte if you really need to chose, both aren't good indeed due to VRMS and BIOS issues but the MSi is still noticeable worse.

In this case MSI is better but only marginally

K5 is much worse, the VRMs on Gaming 5 and K7 are good, but K5 is trash.

I have an MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon and I could say... Eh, it's alright.. But that is not something you want for the price.

My CL16 memory 3200Mhz can only run on 2933Mhz and even still is somewhat instable. haven't done any overclocking though, so can't comment on the VRMs.

The way you do a BIOS reset is just ridiculous, you have to hold a screwdriver on two pins in the middle of the board.. Not something you expect from a 160 euro motherboard.

Nah.

Both are pretty bad choices for R7

The k-5 is pretty much my only option. Do you think it’ll be fine? I would hate to delay my build even more. If it’s completely garbage I won’t get it but if it’s decently good and can overclock I’ll get it.

as you know ryzen cpu until 1800x only need 6 pin cpu power and minimum 6+2 for all cpu ryzen (include 1800x)

so you want luxurious vrm, it wont change so much

better find the ram compatibility on mobo coz not all mobo can handle 3000mhz++ @ stable state

What do you recommend? I need it today, A gaming k-5 and regular gaming 5 are both options
