Intel 8th Generation gaming pc build

Im having trouble deciding on parts for a above 60 fps gaming pc

 

i want to have a intel 8th generation 

 

and a gtx 1000 series 

 

my budget it $885

 

also i already have storage so i don't need one

What resolution do you want to play at?

 

EDIT: also we need to know what you have currently so we know what we can re-use beyond just storage.

So you would probably be good with this setup then at your budget:

 

i5 8400 ($200ish)

H3XX or equal board (75-100$)

DDR 4 Ram 2x8 Kit ($150)

GTX 1070 ($450)

 

All these are approximate prices since the intel stuff is not up on Newegg yet or PCPartpicker for prices. This should put you in the ballpark of your price tag you selected. This would assume you have a Case/Power supply needed to power these. If not then we would need to re-work things.

It's not worth making a list when they're not even available for purchase. Mobo prices might change.

 

Also I'm not 100% sure if coffee Lake is the best choice since the only mobos you can get right now are z370 ones. Though maybe you could go the 8350k route.

With an 8350k it's a little over budget though. Maybe with an 8100 it'll work.

8th gen i7 is not good for gaming it's good for productivity 

 

normal i5 processor is good for gaming

Wrong. 8th gen i7 can both do productivity work and run games well

Coffee is a bit expensive atm. Waiting till Q1 2018 will allow better parts

You don't need to make a post every single day, asking for builds. 

For a gaming build at a $900 budget, getting the 8600K makes no sense. The 8400 would be more reasonable.

LTT is useless when comparing CPUs for gaming. If you check more reputable reviewers, the 8700K performs the same or better than the 8700K in averages and minimums, with more overclocking headroom, and much better streaming performance. 

The CPU in question was the 8600K anyway

That benchmark was done with CPUs at stock speeds. Why would someone spend so much on unlocked CPU then leave it stock? 8700k has already proven to reach 5GHz with ease with good air/water cooling while 7700k struggles to do that without LN2. 8700k is the faster CPU out of the two no doubt.
