Z370 MSI Motherboard Help

Currently my shortlist is

MSI Z370 PC Pro

MSI Z370 Krait

MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon

I'm wondering if there's enough differences that the extra cost of the Pro Carbon is worth it?

inb4: No, I won't get an ASUS Prime Z370-A or any of their other boards because I've seen too many of them fail.

Z370 is a fairly new chipset, how can you already ser many of them fail?

"I'm so glad you're my partner in crime."

"It's the power of best friendship, I know how you roll."

"Chloe, my powers might not last."

"Ready for the mosh pit, shaka brah?"

"Yes, we'd be tearing up the highway. And you'd probably want me to kiss you again..."

"I always wanted my life to be special... an adventure... but not without you."

"Because we're back in action again!"

"With great power comes great bullshit."

"Max you are not crazy. You are not dreaming. It’s time to be an everyday hero."

"I wish I could stay in this moment forever. I guess I actually can now, but then it wouldn’t be a moment."

"If that tornado came right now, I would just sit here and watch for a while."

"You're right. We hella deserve this. Splish splash."

"Can we build another pirate fort and keep the world out?"

"When a door closes, a window opens... Or, something like that."

"Listen, whatever happens, I want you to be strong. Even if you feel like I wasn't there for you because I will never abandon you Chloe. I'll always have your back. Always."

I meant ASUS Boards in general.

Well, my first suggestion was going to be to go to an Asus board due to the Dual N Mosfets.  If I was to reccomend an MSI board, it would be an Xpower board.

I assume based on their experiences with previous series mobos? In a similar way, I wouldn't touch an MSI board :D

This time around, I picked the Asrock Pro4 purely as it was the cheapest non-MSI board. Expected to arrive tomorrow and I'll report back then.

I build a lot of rigs, and for the most part present day boards are well made. I tend to use Asus more than anything , but I use a wide variety and I honestly see more gigabyte boards need RMAs than any other brand, and even then only a small minority of the builds I do ever need any kind of repair/replace.

Same here, Asus is always my Go to for the nicer builds, but other day got my hands on a Aorus model and was massively impressed specially since it was cheaper than the asus. only had a real ugly BIOS though. You talking about the normal GB boards or the Aorus also plagued ?

Redstone:
i7-4770 / Z97 / GTX 980 / Corsair 16GB  / H90 / 400C / Antec EDGE / Neutron GTX240 / Intel 240Gb / WD 2TB / BenQ XL24

Obsidian:

MSI GE60 2PE i7-4700HQ / 860M / 12GB / WE 1TB / m.Sata 256gb/Elagto USB HD Capture Card

Razer Deathadder Chroma / Razer Blackwidow TE Chroma / Kingston Cloud2's / Sennheiser 429 / Logitech Z333

Just the normal Gigabyte, I have never done an Aorus board. and dont get me wrong, even among gigabyte boards, a faulty board is pretty rare. I still use gigabyte fairly frequently. With the exception of a few bad models across the board, I wouldnt be afraid to use any name brand right now. I would just lean towards an Asus or EVGA board if quality control was a big concern for me.

I've used the MSI Sli board in different chip sets, it's a decent board. Never had any issues with it either.

I'm currently using a Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5 but this time around Gigabyte/Aorus brings me over budget.
